Sometimes we all need a little extra inspiration and quotes about music can often help galvanize us into music practice. I hope some of these quotes by musicians and composers will help inspire you to pick up your instrument and start practicing. If not, at least you will find one of the musician quotes helps you realize that others have been in your situation before and you find somebody on these pages with whom you can empathize.
These quotes are organized into various different sections. Currently the sections are: general quotes about music (this page); quotes by musicians and quotes about them; quotes by composers and quotes about composers; quotes about music practice and general inspirational music quotes. I may add other sections as I come across more quotes that don't fit into these initial categories.
